This week I am writing about gender labels, or saying that something is for a certain gender. This happens way too much in society and it's wrong.
I've noticed that a lot of people think that certain colors, or certain hobbies are for certain genders. Even when we were little it has been pink is for girls, blue is for boys. That really wasn't a great example, because not many people say that anymore, but it's clear that young children think like that. We are teaching children that they can only like one thing because of our gender. For example, there's the stereotype of girls like shoes and shopping, and boys like cars. This isn't true, so why do people think like this? It's completely okay for a girl to like cars and fishing and things like that. Boys can like pink and shopping, and fashion, and things like that. Another thing about this topic is that it's frowned upon for a boy to like shopping, or for a girl to like cars. This idea should just be left behind because it's absolutely wrong. So, why do we believe this? This may be random, but I just thought about this the other day when I was walking around my house, and being weird. What are your thoughts?

Today's post is about... well, I'm going to guess you already know beings that it's in the title, music! I have a few songs I want to recommend, and some random songs that I just really love. Before I begin though, I want to let you know that there is a chance that this will be inaccurate an a few days, since I'm pretty fickle when it comes to my music selections. Now "enjoy" another [Random] post from, your's truly, Cheese.
This list shows some of my favorite songs (As of right now).
These obviously aren't all of my favorite songs. This is really just a summary of the songs I don't skip on Spotify. I honestly never have skips left. For now, Cheese. [Jazz Hands] When you first opened my blog, you probably wondered, "Why Cheese?". Well, I'm here to answer that.
It's Cheese of my wonderful best friend. It was one of the first days of school, and I was just getting used to middle school, therefore, I really didn't know anyone. My mission was to find someone to help me navigate through the halls of people that just happened to be twice my size. So, I ran past him in the hallway warbling like a turkey. Then we realized that we had 2nd period together and sat together in there mainly because we were the only people in there we could tolerate. So, that afternoon we realized we even rode the same bus. So, surprising, I know, we sat together there too. A few weeks later I got a phone, and he got my number. Then there was a problem. There was another person with the same name as mine. From that point on, my contact was cheese, because, as you may have figured out, I love cheese. So, now you know "Why Cheese". It's Cheese all because of me warbling like a turkey. |
